The Concentration may provide modest funding for INTS students to support activities that demonstrate advanced learning or research and align with the Concentration’s objectives. To apply, students should submit a brief application to INTS Director Shane Barter (sbarter@soka.edu). Please make sure to do this early, providing INTS time to discuss the request and ask for more information if required.
Depending on their situation and needs, students should consider Soka Student Government grants and Capstone budgets before approaching INTS. In other situations, students may apply for and receive academic funding from multiple sources. Students are advised to communicate with the Director before applying for Concentration support.
A good proposal should clearly describe the event and how it links to INTS Learning Objectives. It should provide a detailed, modest budget as well as receive support from an SUA faculty member, ideally an INTS faculty member.
