INTS Professor Shane Barter and student Amanda Boralessa (2018) have published a chapter in the newly-released Routledge Handbook of Politics in Asia, edited by Shiping Hua. Their chapter, “Southeast Asia: Unity in ASEAN” explores foreign policy in the region and beyond. Congratulations on this joint effort!

Professor Ian Read publishes in Latin American Perspectives
INTS Director Dr. Ian Read has published a new multi-book review article in the journal Latin American Perspectives. In “Investigating an Epidemic among Indigenous Children in Venezuela,” Dr. Read compares leading scholarship in English and Spanish that seeks to shed light on an unfolding tragedy.
Shane Barter publishes new article in Regional Studies
INTS Professor Shane Barter has published a new article in Regional Studies, now available online. The article explores the treatment of local, second-order minorities in autonomous regions dominated by national, first-order minorities. The article is available here.

Professors Shane Barter and Michael Weiner have released a new edited textbook, The Pacific Basin: An Introduction, published by Routledge Press. The book features chapters by a range of Soka University of America Professors, including Lisa MacLeod, Ian Read, and Sarah England from INTS.
